- Access to Polkast requires your user name and password.
- Your files remain on your computer and on devices that you have given authorization.
- Polkast does not move, copy or store your files in any intermediate location (e.g. public cloud).
- Polkast simply utilizes your computer and your own devices to create your own private, secure personal network.
- To ensure highest level of security, Polkast employs the same strong secure methods as banks and the military.
Additional security measures:
- Polkast always transfers data over encrypted channels.
- No copies of your files are kept on Polkast servers.
- No public files or public folders.
- Polkast personnel have no means to access the content of user files. Only metadata such as filenames, pathnames and file sizes are needed for troubleshooting issues.
- Shared folders and files can only be viewed and received by people you invite.
